Report on the Munster Under age Championships 2007/2008
The Under 13, 15 and 19 Championships were run by the Clare Badminton Association
and took place in the University Sports Arena on Saturday the 15 of December.
93 competitors took part in the competitions
24 took part in the under 19 Championships, 32 competitors in the under 15
Championships and 37 took part in the under 13 Championships.
The Competition opened with a welcome from Alan Sullivan and play commenced
at 10:15 am.
The prizes were presented at 4:30 pm.
Cork and Clare clubs took home 18 medals each, Tipperary clubs took home 12
medals, Waterford clubs 3 medals and Kerry clubs 2 medals.
The games were competitive and behaviour of the players was a credit took their
clubs and counties.
A sincere thank you to Wilma Ryan, Marion Shanahan, Jo-Jo Tobin, Marian Hanrahan, Michael Troy and Patsy Sheehan whose help on the day was invaluable and without whom, the event could not have been run.
